et plus report
Jammu, Mar 19: Senior Congress leader and former legislator Ashok Sharma visited Dalogra, Dangri, Gunni and other remote areas of Kalakote Constituency as part of public contact programme today. Sharma while interacting with sarpaches, panches, Congress activists and public at large strongly pleaded for launching work on the prestigious Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch rail line project from both ends for its speedy completion.
He demanded that the railway line needs to pass coal mine areas of Kalakote, so that these mines are exploited in a profitable manner and thermal power house at Kalakote be made functional. The Congress leader also urged for empowerment of panchyati Raj institutions and incorporating 73rd amendment of the constitution of India in the state to achieve this objective as had been envisioned by the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He also stressed for regularization of all the SPO's in a time bound manner.
Responding to the various problems and development oriented issues Sharma assured that these would be taken up with the concerned authorities for redressal.
