et plus report Katra, Mar 19: J&K Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization Ltd (JKITCO) Jammu organized 5th and concluding programme during the year 2012-13 on capacity building on use of consultancy services by client organizations in association with consultancy Development Centre (CDC) DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India, New Delhi. The programme was held today at PWD Dak Bunglow, Katra wherein a leage number of people were present. Chief Guest Shyam Lal Kesar, President, Hotels and Restaurant Association, Katra and officers from Government Departments/organisations viz Forest, Medical, Tourism, PWD, Irrigation, Education, Agriculture, PRE, SBI, PNB, J&K Bank, DCO Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and representatives of Hotels attended the programme. S P Sud, Associate consultant, J&K ITCO presented the welcome address and spoke about the aim and objective of the programme. Chief guest Shyam Lal Kesar, in his speech stressed upon the importance of consultancy services in the development of Hotel Industry specifically in the holy town Katra in future. He also stressed upon the need to identify and explore the potential area at Katra so as to develop and provide better facilities to the Pilgrims tourist visiting "Mata Vaishno Devi" which have increased to more than 1 Crore during the year 2012. Binoy Kumar, consultant, J&K ITCO as a resource person spoke on different aspects of selection of consultants viz. short listing of consultants, proposal invitation, proposal evaluation etc. S P Sud highlighted the aspects of consultant client agreement while Binoy Kumar presented the vote of thanks |
