33 candidates to get loan assistance under PMEGP in Doda

Doda, Sep 14 : With a view to provide loan assistance to the aspiring unemployed educated youth of the District under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) was held in the office of General Manager, District Industries Centre Doda under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Doda, Mubarak Singh to conduct interview of the candidates who have applied for getting loan assistance to establish their own income generating units in the District. The DDC Doda, chaired the interview along with other members of the Task Force Committee comprising of General Manager DIC Doda, Deputy Director Employment Doda, Lead Bank Officer Doda, District Officer KVIB , Superintendent ITI, District Youth Coordinator NYK, District Coordinator KVIC, Representative of Zonal Office J&K Bank , besides Sarpanch Panchayat Dharyoth and Sarpanch Panchayat Sanura Bhalessa were special invitees. 52 candidates were interviewed by the committee out of which 33 candidates were selected by the DTFC. However 18 Candidates of Bhaderwah Block, 4 of Ghat Block, 3 of Gandoh Block ,4 of Bhagwah Block, 3 of Marmat Block and 1 candidate of Thathri Block were selected by the Committee for loan assistance, Besides financial assistance to 7 Candidates sponsored by KVIB Doda were also approved. DDC interacted with the youth on the occasion and impressed upon them to avail benefits under the centrally sponsored PMEGP and other schemes establish their own income generating units and become self sufficient, rather than hankering after the Government jobs. DDC also said that the District is endowed with abundant natural resources and there is huge potential of development of self employment units in the region. He asked the youth of the District to adopt proactive approach and participate in the socio-economic development of the District and state.
