Retired SSP's, City businessman's hired goons attack demolition squad
Illegal constructions in Pahalgam

Anantnag, Sept 14: A day after ET exposed the illegal constructions at Movera Pahalgam carried out by a retired SSP and affluent city businessman, Pahalgam Development Authority (PDA) demolition squad was today allegedly attacked by Retired SSP's, City businessman's hired goons soon after they arrived on the spot to demolition the illegal construction.
Chief Executive Officer, Pahalgam Development authority, Nisar Hussain Wani told early times that a squad of PDA was today directed to demolish the illegal construction in Movera village, however, a mod which was apparently hired by the violators attacked the squad, resulting serious injuries to three among them.
"On my directions, squad arrived in the area to demolish the illegal constructed huts of Mushtaq Ahmad Kanu (retired SSP) and Mohammad Ashraf Burza (City businessman) but the hired mob attacked our squad and injured them," Wani said, adding he had formally logged an FIR against the miscreants. He said that the violators were taking advantage of present prevailing situation of the valley because we can't take any step which will affect the situation or worse it more. "This is totally a hectic job to stop the construction because of the situation and secondly violators have hired of the local population as well as educated youth, who are creating hurdles in stopping the illegal construction," Wani who is going to retire from the service after a short span of time said, adding he will not allow anybody to violate high court ban and will lodge FIR against the both violators.
Meanwhile Station House Officer, Pahalgam confirmed that they have lodged an FIR against the miscreants who today attacked demolition squad in Movera Village.
