| MOHD IRFAN SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Already under fire for postponing the objective type written test which was scheduled to be held today, the J&K Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) is now receiving flak from the students of Kashmir University (KU) for fixing September 17 as the date of the exam. Demanding postponement of the test on September 17, several KU students said the decision of SSRB to hold the test on Tuesday has left them in the lurch as they have to appear for their Post Graduation (PG) courses exam scheduled to be held on the same day. Students said, " It would be impossible for us to sit for both the exams. Before finalizing the date, the SSRB should have taken into consideration the schedule of our PG exam." One of the students wishing anonymity said, "My zoology paper of 1st semester is on Sept 17th so how come it possible for me to appear for SSRB test. SSRB is playing with the careers of the youth who are working hard to prepare for competition," he lamented. The students further said that it is a general practice that competitive exams and tests are held either on Saturdays or Sundays but the SSRB is holding a recruitment test on Tuesday which has left hundreds of job seekers studying in KU as flabbergasted. |
