| EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sept 14 : Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur AK Koul awarded three years imprisonment and fine of Rs 5000 to one Surinder Singh facing trial in an attempt to murder case. According to the police on 12 March 2010 the accused started construction work and opened the window towards the land of the victim. The victim protested but the accused resorted to aggression, abused him and pelted stones on him. The accused brought out a gun and shot him and the victim received pallet injuries on his forehead, face and head. He got injured seriously. People came on spot and accused fled away. The Court after hearing both the sides observed that prosecution has proved its case and ordered that Surinder Kumar be sentenced to simple imprisonment for three years and a fine of Rs.5000 for commission of offence under section 307 RPC. "He is sentenced to further imprisonment for one month for commission of offence under section 336 RPC, Bal Krishan is sentenced to simple imprisonment for one month for commission of offence under section 336 RPC and Girdari Lal is sentenced to simple imprisonment for one month for commission of offence under section 30 Arms Act," the judge ordered.
