Traffic mis-management adding to miseries

Mendhar, Sept 14: People of the Mendhar, particularly the businessman are these days facing lot of inconvenience due to the traffic congestion in and around bus stand.
People complained that flow of traffic at bus stand Mendhar and main bazaar Mendhar is increasing day in and out but the Tehsil administration has so far failed in providing relief to the people from this menace.
They said that in the absence of any alternative route, the traffic load is adding to miseries of masses.
Even worse is the fact that the people have also failed in properly managing the traffic which result in long on a day to day basis. They said that there is a huge rush of Tata sumo and mini Tata tempo travelers as there is no proper parking place of all of them.
Few cops deployed in the area hardly bother to manage the traffic and as a result large numbers of vehicles are parked haphazardly which results in long jams, they said.
They said that business community is the facing the burnt as a bus stand and main road are adjacent to each other. Due to traffic congestion people and even pedestrians avoid coming to this place which in turn is affecting business.
Locals Dahood Ahmed and Asaf Nawaz Khan alleged that it is difficult to pass through the bus stand areas during day time because of unmanageable traffic.
Overloading is also going on unbeaten in the area which often results in accidents. Most of the resident of the Mendhar demanded that there should be proper system to manage traffic so that the people freely pass through main bazaar area without any conveniences. The people also demanded that administration should check overloading regularly to save precious life.
