| DFP organizes seminar on Bharat Nirman Phase - II | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Sept 14: As part of three-month long intensive publicity awareness campaign on Bharat Nirman Phase - II and its major components viz; Aadhar Card, Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme, Food Security Bill and Land Acquisition Bill, which was started by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India, J & K Region, Jammu throughout the state last month, Field Publicity Unit Kathua in close cooperation and coordination with ICDS Project Vijaypur organized a day-long seminar on Bharat Nirman Phase -II at ICDS centre Mehmoodpur today. The awareness programme was aimed at sensitizing and mobilizing the masses at grass root level about various aspects and provisions under Bharat Nirman Phase -II and its components. Over half a dozen Anganwari workers and helpers drawn from different Anganwari centers of the area participated in the seminar and expressed their views on the subject. The function was presided over by N. Gulshan Raina, D&DO, DFP, J & K Region. Raina unveiling the concept of Bharat Nirman Phase - II campaign stressed upon the common masses to avail maximum benefits of all flagship programmes undertaken by the Govt. of India from time to time for their betterment, upliftment and development. While interacting with the audience Raina spelled out the aims and objectives of such awareness programmes for the common masses directly at the grass root level. He requested the audience to act as ambassadors to spread the message of provisions and importance of Bharat Nirman Phase - II and its components in their respective areas and strongly advocated to shoulder their responsibilities for the proper and effective implementation of such national programmes. Raina further highlighted the significance of such awareness programmes from time to time for the awareness of "Aam Aadami" especially the inhabitants of rural India. He also laid emphasis on the audience to avail maximum benefits of various centrally sponsored schemes and help in disseminating the information and awareness of these schemes in every nook and corner of the countryside so that the real beneficiaries would be able to get maximum benefits from these schemes which are especially meant for the upliftment and betterment of the rural populace. While presenting vote of thanks Meenakshi Sharma, ICDS supervisor appreciated the efforts made by DFP in making the rural masses aware about various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes launched by Govt. of India from time to time for the benefits, upliftment and safeguard of the people of the country in general and rural populace in particular. She also requested the department for more such awareness programmes on other themes and topics in the near future, so that the rural masses may be able to know more and more about various centrally sponsored developmental schemes and would be able to get maximum benefits from these schemes and programmes. Later the participants of the seminar were honored with utility gifts by the galaxy of officers and other dignitaries. Prominent others who graced the occasion included Rajesh Sharma, FPA, DFP, Naresh Kumar, Sarpanch, Mehmoodpur and Sheela Devi, Panch. |
