Poonch, Sept 19: A deputation of Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) Poonch called on Chief Education Officer Poonch Abdul Hameed Fani and welcomed his appointment in the district. They praised Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand who also holds Education portfolio for appointing Fani as CEO Poonch. The deputation apprised him of the problems faced by the teacher community and also demanded the re-organization of education system in the district. They briefed the officer that the teaching community faces several difficulties while getting their GPF withdrawn and even for their annual increments they have to make frequent visits to the CEO and ZEO offices. They also demanded that teaching staff working in the offices should be sent back to their original places of postings.
They also urged for the early release of the pending six months salaries of Ret teachers also. The CEO assured them that their genuine demands would be fluffed soon and requested them to back him. The CEO said stern action would be taken against the defaulters.
District President LPEF Abdul Hameed, president Teacher Association Poonch Abdul Ahad Zami, Jagjit Singh Awal, Daljeet Singh, Harish Sharma, Muhammad Iqbal, Anwar Wantoo, Master Lal Hussain and Muhammad Sadeeq were in the deputation. |
