To call All India Panchayat Conference in Kashmir
AJKPC decides to nail Coalition Govt's lies

SRINAGAR, Sept 19: Struck between lies of the NC led coalition Government and threats to their lives from the militants, Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) members are planning to call All India Panchayat Conference members and other non Government organizations to protest with them against empty recurring of the State Government with the flag bearers of democracy at the grass root level.
Hundreds of village heads who resigned over the years after being threatened by militants are mulling a platform in Kashmir where they are planning to call the members of All India Panchayat Conference and world renowned NGOs to protest with them in favour of their long pending demands with the coalition Government which include 73rd amendment in the Jammu and Kashmir constitution under the circle of Article 370, economic pay roll for panchayat members since the post panchayat elections, security to the village heads, insurance cover and above all freedom from bureaucratic control over panchayat system. The panchayat members said that coalition Government lead by chief Minister Omar Abdullah is playing with the lives of thousands of families of village heads who are on the target of militants as proved over the years and even their basic demands like security and insurance cover are yet to be fulfilled despite repeated formal and informal meetings, requests and protests against the highhandedness of the office bearers of coalition Government.
According to the general secretary of AJKPC, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Sofi after being fed up of requesting at State level they have now decided to formally approach the central Government by providing them memorandum which mentions all the genuine demands of AJKPC and in this regard as an initiation AJKPC has recently presented their memorandum to Governor N.N Vohra who promised them to convey their genuine demands to the central Government, besides a mass protest rally will be held in Kashmir to pressurize the Government to fulfill their demands in due course of time.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Sofi also threatened that AJKPC has also framed a road map to deal with all the political parties of the state in 2014 Assembly elections.
"AJKPC will soon announce the strategy to deal with the political parties in forthcoming Assembly elections and it will be a revolution in the political history of the state" added general secretary AJKPC While as according to the chief spokesperson of AJKPC, Ghulam Hussain Naqashbandi panchayat conference of Jammu and Kashmir is in urgent need of some amendments under the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir to make the institution of panchayat a pure and a dynamic independent body.
