| PDP Questions Omar Abdullah about his Public Service? | | |

Srinagar, Sept 19: While criticizing the National Conference for playing politics of hate the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has castigated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his recent statement the recent wherein the CM had said that he is into politics for " Public Service ". In a statement issued here yesterday the PDP General Secretary (Youth) Engineer Nazir Yatoo said that Public Service was never the sole motto of National Conference leaders and this includes the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. If Public Service had been sole motto of Chief Minister then why 120 youth were butchered in Kashmir during 2010 agitation ? What action was initiated against the accused police officials?
It is National Conference which was involved in massive rigging during 1987 assembly elections and not only this the same party ensured that workers , elections agents and leaders of Muslim United Front (MUF) were put behind the bars where they were severely tortured, which ultimately forced these people to take up guns, was this a Public service? Yatoo questioned
Engineer Yatoo further said that National Conference after assuming power during 1996 elections created Special Task Force (STF) which let loose reign of terror on the people of state and hundreds of people were killed during the interrogation and fake encounters by STF on the direction of the then CM Farooq Abdullah. He said that while the National Conference was part of BJP lead NDA the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) was extended to J&K and the NC Government lead by Omar Abdullah's father got this anti people law ratified in the state legislature ,inspite of the fact that many states didn't extended the same. The NC has a habbit of talking about autonomy and Raishumari in Kashmir but wants to enjoy power as well and this part got exposed when J&K State Autonomy resolution was passed with absolute majority in state legislature during 1997 and these recommendations were thrown into dustbin by the BJP lead NDA Government at New Delhi but NC didn't reacted to it inpite of the fact that the National Conference was part of that NDA Government and continued to remain in power and never cared for the autonomy bill just to ensure that Omar Abdullah's was given a Ministerial berth at the centre and this NC sold so called autonomy resolution in liue of Omar's Ministerial berth and only few years back Haji Yousuf was murdered inside the CM's residence in a broad day light and no action has been initiated against the CM and his associates, Is this a Public Service ? Yatoo questioned the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. |
