Jammu, Sept 19: In a bid to escape from the police party giving him a chase to a thief, he felled down and developed fracture in his right arm here today, police said. Meanwhile, Sajjad's parents have allged that his arm got fractured due to police torture.
As per police reports, the incident took place when Channi Himmat police on specific information that one Mohd Sajad of Gujjar Colony, a student of 10th calss ,had snatched the wallet of the army jawan made a hunt to him. "In a bid to escape from the clutches of police, he jumped from a roof top resulting a fracture on his right arm, police said adding that police team rushed him to GMC & Hospital where his treatment is in progress.
Meanwhile, parents of the Sajad said that police beat him in their presence which causing fracture on his arm. Pertinently, Sajad, has been just released some days ago from District Jail and on this Sunday he along with two other persons snatched the wallet of the army jawan near Stadium Morh at Channi Himmat. As per reports, the army jawan namely Akram s/o Bashmir Mohd of Mendar was waiting for matador when the trio including Sajjad snatched his wallet containing Rs 3000 cash, one ATM card and credit card and fled from the spot. |
