Srinagar, Sept 19: Peoples Democratic Party leader Ashok Bhat today claimed that the party does not believe in political exploitation through emotional slogans and has contributed to political and economic development of the state. While visiting Habakadal areas he said PDP during its brief time in the government created conducive environment and is even constantly working on plans to change the development scenario of the state. He said the youth constitute the focus of the PDP's policies and as the party believes that the human resource of the state and facilities can be transformed into our best asset. He claimed the NC has put a restriction on the vision of youth and have been exploiting them in the name of menial jobs. Bhat alleged NC has exploited the youth of Srinagar in particular and even on developmental fronts it has totally failed even to provide basic amenities to the residents of Srinagar City. While referring to Habakadal he said the area has been put into shambles and the promises of ruling politicians has proved wrong. Ganpatyar, Gadoodbagh, Rugnath Mandhir area and Banamohalla which witnessed some kind of development in 1988 has been put on that position since decades. He said that besides charging fourfold tariff hike on electricity the inadequate supply has made the life of residents and students in particular very difficult as frequent power cuts and unscheduled curtailments are on high. |
