JAMMU, Oct 1: Members of Hindu Shiv Sena (HSS) Jammu and Kashmir have expressed great resentment against the state government and concerned authorities for their alleged failure in taking prompt action against the accused involved in the infamous Channi Himmat Sex Scandal case and also for creating hurdles in the smooth investigation of the same. The executive body of HSS today under the chairmanship of Krishan Manhas, supreme of the sena today convened a meeting, wherein it was decided that Arjun Sharma, senior state vice president HSS will observe fast unto death from today at Dogra Chowk Jammu for their demand. During the course of the meeting, the HSS demanded registration of case against SHO, Women Cell, Canal Road, Arti Thakur and SI Neelam Saini (who is already suspended) for not disclosing names of the culprits involved in the sex scandal also allegedly covering their sin. It was resolved in the meeting that other Sena members will also accompany Arjun Sharma in his fast unto death till the case is registered against above mentioned police officials. Others who were present in the meeting included Ashok Jandial, Ashish Dogra, Verinder Saini, Shammi Mehra and Harish Gupta. |
