| Jammu Oct 1: Continuing its drive against smuggling of liquor, the police arrested one bootlegger at a naka laid at Khour Akhnoor and recovered 39 Pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. Earlier Akhnoor police has arrested bootlegger from Fawara Chowk, Akhnoor alongwith 45 pouches of liquor, police said. According to police reports, police following a specific input police team from P/S Khour laid a surprised naka at Khour and intercepted one pedestrian namely Sanjay Singh S/o Sohan Singh R/o Khour and recovered 39 Pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. "The accused was arrested on the spot, police said adding, "a case against FIR No. 61/13 U/S 48-A Excise Act, stands registered against accused and further investigation going on. |
