JAMMU, Oct 1: Flaying the alleged nepotism being played against Rehber-E-Ziraat, Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA), under the chairmanship of president, Dr Surinder Singh Radotra today strongly demanded regularization of Rehber-E-Ziraat in one go. While addressing a press conference, Dr Radotra lambasted lethargic approach of the state government towards Rehber-E-Ziraat (REZ). He maintained that neither government considered year of passing policy nor framed one time regularization policy for REZ. He said "Nine years regularization policy is a lethal policy for REZ, who are serving in the department for last seven years has put burden on REZ," said Dr Radotra. He further warned the state government of dire consequences, if their demands were not considered as early. Dr Radotra reminded the state government of its election, manifesto during 2008 elections, in which it was claimed that no stone will be left unturned to get the demands of the Agriculture Technocrats, but this reign has totally disappointed REZ. Meanwhile, Dr Radotra said that the state government is creating confusion. He claimed that on one side the regularization policy of REZ is made after the completion of five years of continuous service and on the other side adhoc/contractual employees are being treated as same and are given basic salary for seven years till regularization. Addressing the media persons, Dr Vinod Sharma, provisional chairman JKATA expressed anguish over the alleged apathetic attitude of the state government for not taking regularization of REZ seriously, on the pattern of batch wise. Dr Vinod further maintained that the state government failed to fulfill its promises, which was made earlier during last budget session. On the occasion Manjeet Singh, Dr Rajiv Singh Chib, Dr Joginder Singh, Shakeel Qazi, Sumeet Dutta, Abhimanyu Mahajan, Sanjay Puri, Mehboob Ali Malik, Dr Skinder Singh and Anil Gupta were also present. |
