Jammu, Oct 1: Talab Tillo ward no 30 activists today held a strong protest against Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for its failure in providing drinking water to the area .
The protestors, lead by Ayodhya Gupta (Talab Tillo BJP mandal president) blocked the main road at Talab Tillo and disrupted the vehicular movement for more than two hours.
The protestors were raising slogans against PHE officials, administration and government. While addressing the gathering, Ayodhya Gupta slammed PHE officials for their failure in addressing the genuine problem of public of Talab Tillo area.
The BJP leader gave an ultimatum of one day to the administration for streamlining the distribution of drinking water and threatened to intensify agitation if it failed to meet the deadline. The protestors lifted the blockade only after the intervention of Sisar Khajuria (AEE) ,Pramod Abrol (JE)and Jai Parkash Sharma (SHO Nawabad).
