JAMMU, Oct 1: Quarterfinals position has been cleared with eight teams confirming their berth in the third round of the ongoing inter-college men's kabaddi tournament, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU) on the campus, here today.
Teams making it to the quarterfinals stages are Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua, GDC Kilotarian, GDC Poonch, Post Graduate (PG) Departments, New Age College, Government MAM College, Trikuta Degree College and Government SPMR College of Commerce.
Now, in the quarterfinals, scheduled for October three, GDC Kathua shall take on GDC Kilotarian while GDC Poonch shall lock horns against New Age College Phinter. In other last eight stages matches, PG Departments have been pitted against Government MAM College and Trikuta Degree College shall meet defending champion, SPMR College of Commerce.
Today's matches were officiated by the technical penal including Ankush Gupta, Manpreet Singh, Keshav Singh, AnuradhaBhagat, Anil Kumar , Ankush Singh and Gagan Kumar.
