| One held, 7 bovine animals rescued | | | | Jammu, Oct 7: Police today claimed to have foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling with the arrest of one bovine smuggler and rescuing seven animals from the area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kud. Police said, "The accused smuggler namely Talab Hussain S/o Abdul Gani R/o Maitra, Ramban was arrested on the spot.' "Based on reliable information, a Police party of Police Station Kud laid a surprise naka at NHW near Kud in the wee hours on October 6, and intercepted one Mahindra (JK02AN-1265) on its way from Jammu towards Kashmir, police said. Police said, "During the thorough search of the said vehicle, seven bovine animals were found packed inside this Vehicle and police arrested above mentioned accused on spot besides seizing the vehicle used in crime.' In this connection, a case FIR No. 120/13 U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Kud and further investigation of the case is going on. |
