10/7/2013 11:43:12 PM

SRINAGAR, Oct 7: The historical Mughal road which is yet to be thrown open officially has many worries for travellers as it sans cellular network in the most needed areas.
The need for cellular network was felt when four persons died in an accident near Zaznar area. Their aggrieved relatives believe that they could have been saved had their mobile phones worked at the site of the accident. "They could not be traced out for several hours as they could not contact us and this proved fatal," said the aggrieved relatives.
Talking to Early Times many travellers and drivers said that cellular network is of vital importance on the road as incase of emergencies they have to either reach Herpora from Shopian side or Chandmarh from Rajouri side for help.
Mohammad Afzal from Rajouri, a Doctor by profession said that he often uses this road to reach Srinagar but every time he plans to use this road he either searches for any co-traveller or drives his car back to back with any passenger vehicle from Srinagar to Rajouri or from Rajouri to Srinagar.
