| MBS college students allege favoritism | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 7: Students of MBS College today boycotted their classes and held a massive protest demonstration at college gate against the college management. The protest was led by Lucky Singh (president Students Front). The students were in anger against the college management alleging that the college management is playing with the future of thousand of students in college every year. Lucky Singh while addressing the gathering said that the college administration and higher management is employing dictatorship rule. He alleged that all the staff members appointed are totally on pick and choose policy and the higher positions are filled up by the relatives of the higher management of college. He said that HoDs comprising. Parveen Singh who is also the dean of College and Amrik Singh who is also the vice principal of College are misleading the college management. They are non-serious regarding the students. The students said that A.K. Kaw a HoD of college who was favouring students for their cause was illegally scrapped off from college by the top management as he was not indulging into their misgoverning regarding students. The students demanded that the top management of college should be changed and those persons should be given posts of Dean, Vice Principal who can lead the students to new heights. They also demanded that HoD A K Kaw should be re-engaged in college for welfare of students. They said that they are paying heavy amount in college for the studies to get better education but the college management is not serious regarding students but is trying to give benefits to their relative. They warned the college administration and top management if their needs were not fulfilled on time, their protest will be turn into long term agitation. Others who were present in this protest include Sampreet Singh, Paramveer Singh, Ravneet Singh, Vivek Sawhney, Pavneet Singh, Ramneek Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Arshdeep Kour, Harmeet Kour, Jagmeet Kour, Neha, Anu etc. |
