Jammu, Oct 11: The transfers and postings of 119 SPs hang in balance following political interference in the transfer proposal prepared by PHQ and signed by Chief Minister himself. Highly placed sources informed that to break the ice in the transfers of police, CM directed PHQ to prepare proposal of the transfer and postings of SPs including the newly promoted. Though the order of the CM was complied, but shockingly, a senior politicians amended the list by inculcating his blue eyed as SP Katra and SP Reasi. CM who went to Delhi after finalizing the list when was apprised of the amendment in the list, directed Home Department to hold the list till he returned.
Sources said that resentment brewed among the politicians who were not contacted while the proposal for transfer of police officers was prepared to adjust their favourites to choice postings.
Informed sources said that CM took the initiative of transfer in police and directed PHQ for proposal following the battle between Cabinet Ministers of coalition Government for adjustment of their favourite eyeing upcoming 2014 elections. It is also alleged that earlier PHQ quashed the list of transfer and adjustment of SPs made by ADG Armed SM Sahai. Sahai had adjusted SPs in the battalions as Incharge Commandants on temporary basis for smooth conduct of the businesses of the police.
Now, all eyes are on CM's arrival for their much awaited adjustment.
Meanwhile, Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir assigned the charge of IGP Armed/IR Kashmir and Director SKPA Udhampur to two senior police officers. As per Government order No Home Lt 16 of 2013 T Punchok, IPS, IGP awaiting orders of posting shall look after the charge of the post of IGP Armed/IR Kashmir till further orders. Parminder Singh, IPS, Joint Director, SKPA, Udhampur shall look after the charge of Director till further orders.
Besides, General Administration Department transferred two officers in civil administration. As per order No.1454-GAD of, Rehana Batul, KAS, Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, was transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, against an available vacancy; Sushma Chauhan, IAS(JK:09), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu shall continue to hold the charge of the post of Additional District Development Commissioner, Jammu, in addition to her own duties, till further orders. |
