| Academics suffer as affluent manage attachments | | Nexus thrives at Doda | | Bijay Charak
Jammu, Oct 11: In utter violation of set rules and regulations, the Education department in district Doda has attached more than two dozen teachers reportedly in lieu of pecuniary benefits, inspite of the fact that the schools of their actual postings have been facing acute dearth of staff, affecting the academic curriculum.
Sources informed that these affluent teachers have managed their postings in the schools of their own choice, allegedly by gratifying concerned officials. According to sources these teachers include Sohil Raja whose actual place of posting was Primary School (PS) Lower Behli but he has been attached in Rashtriya Madhiyamik Shiksha Abhiyan(RMSA) section of Chief Education Office (CEO) Doda.
"Mudassir Nazar, who was posted at Primary School Jathi has managed attachment at ZEO office Assar. Shamshad Begum, actually posted at Primary School Nalla Bharath has managed attachment to PS Behli", sources said.
They further informed that Shanaz Begum whose actual place of posting was PS Krothwan was attached to PS Nalwa, Abul Salam who was posted at Middle School(MS) Dudwah, but managed attachment to PS Lays Pura. In the same way, Manzoor Ahmed whose actual place of posting was Magrey Pura Aull School but has been attached to PS Nalla Bharath while Arabia Tabassum whose actual place of posting was PS Malwa and has been attached to PS Wani Pura (Gundna).
Moroever, Rehana Begum whose actual place of posting was PS Maslal Gundna but has been attached to PS Nalwa Ghat, while Jaggar Nath who was actually posted at PS Dudwah but managed attachment to PS Last Pura (Ghat).
Riaz Ahmed Mir whose actual place of posting was at PS Ludna but has been attached to ZEO office Gundna besides Saburullah was actually posted at Middle School Bhatbagi but has been attached to High School (HS) Kuluhand.
Bashir Ahmed whose actual place of posting was at PS Thawa and has been attached to HS Kuluhand while Naseer Ahmed was actually posted at PS Chirallah but was later attached to Higher Secondary School Thathri while Rabia Kouser whose actual place of posting was at PS Ludna but has been attached to Higher Secondary School Breswana.
Castigating the attachment culture which is in vogue at Doda, a local of Doda, Imtiyaz Ahmed rued that student community has been suffering and facing hardships due to the ongoing practice of officials. "There are numbers of schools which have single teacher and in some schools 15 teachers are deputed to teach only 25 students", he said, adding that it was a part of big nexus in which several officials of Education department have been involved and have been making their fortunes by the practice.
When contacted Chief Education Officer Doda, he said that he has recently assumed the charge of CEO Doda, adding he has already given instructions to all ZEO, not to attach any teacher.
