| Administration cautions against mischievous sloganeering | | All party meet in Kishtwar ahead of Dussehra, Eid | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 11: Ahead of Dusshera and Eid festivals, district administration in Kishtwar chaired an all party meeting at New DC office complex and urged the people to help the administration to maintain peace and communal harmony during festival season. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC Kishtwar Baseer Ahmed Khan and was attended by DIG DKR Ashkor Ahmed Wani and SP Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal, near about 100 political and social activists participated in the meeting that lasted for more than 3 hours. Earlier the administration also chaired the meeting of religious heads and Immams of various mosques. The administration in the meeting appealed them to convey the message of peace and communal harmony during religious sermons. Administration also discussed the modalities of Eid festival with them and assured them full security cover during Eid Nimaz. Police and administration also urged the people to adhere to the religious slogans and avoid all those slogans that can vitiate peace. Meanwhile Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo in his Friday sermon also appealed to the people not to indulge in any mischievous sloganeering during Eid procession. He urged the people to use only religious slogans during Eid procession. |
