Jammu, Oct 11: Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir said that live telecast of the Mega Final of All India Devotional Song Competition of Navratra Festival to be held on Oct 12, 2013.
As per press release, Rakesh Wazir said the Devotional Song Competition started 16 years back with the main aim to promote and provide platform to the singers from all over the India in the holy township of Katra/besides promotion of the tourism in J&K.
He said the this year leading film Actor Aftab Shivdasani will be the guest on finale whereas the judges especially Ganesh Jain Managing Director Venus Records and Tapes Ltd., Ramesh Taurani Managing Director Tips Industries Ltd., Vikas Mohan Producer/ Trade analyst & Barkha Arora C.E.O Zee Jagran will grace their presence as judge.
This All India Devotional Song Competition have contributed a lot to the state and have given platform to many Singers in the film industry including Himani Kapoor, Mool Raj, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naveen Punjabi, Rajan Gill, Sonali Dogra, Reeta Khadyal, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar,Anjusha etc.Himani Kapoor sung in the films like Dil Diya Hai, Chingari, Oye Lucky Oye, Fool & Final, Bachna Ae Hasino etc.like wise others singers are also doing well in this field.
These film industry people have contributed a lot to this All India Devotional Song Competition. 1st Prize of this competition is Gold worth Rs 1 Lakh besides recording contract to the winner of this competition with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and this provision is going on since 1999. |
