Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 11: Demanding reduction of period from 28 years to 20 years for the qualifying service, the Joint Migrant Education Employees Association (JMEEA), Jammu said today that since the entrance age to get the employment is 37 and the retirement age is 58, the total qualifying service of the employees becomes 21 years only which is not fully applicable to get the full pension benefits.
Bharat Bhushan Koul of JMEEA said that the Government should consider the 20 years of qualifying service for pension benefits for its employees. As the rates of the commodities are rising day by day then how a pensioner who will not get his full pension benefits at the time of his retirement can meet his day to day domestic needs.
