| CCI holds interaction session with Comm JMC, VC JDA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 11: Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) Jammu organized an interactive session with Vice Chairman (VC) Jammu Development Authority, Kuldip Lal Khajuria and Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Kiran Wattal.
Speaking on the occasion, President Chamber of Commerce & Industry Y.V. Sharma highlighted various issues regarding development of Jammu ccity. He stated that the civil society, trade and commerce associations and civic bodies have a crucial role to play in making Jammu a vibrant, clean and aesthetic city, keeping in view its strategic importance as winter capital and most agile tourism destination in north India.
Addressing the gathering, Arun Gupta, Secretary General CCI appreciated the efforts of Commissioner JMC Kiran Wattal in making Jammu a clean and adulteration free city, requested that sewerage and drainage works, restoration of dismantled roads, provision of parking places, maintenance of drains and parks, provision of water, power and sanitation which are main challenges should be given top priority.
While speaking on the occasion Commissioner JMC, Kiran Wattal assured that all possible steps would be taken to address the points raised in today's meeting besides providing the people of Jammu un-adultered food items including milk etc. and also making Jammu a clean and beautiful city.
Vice Chairman JDA, Kuldip Lal Khajuria also assured that the grievances regarding JDA will be redressed in shortest possible time and also the work on the multiple parking complex will be started very soon. |
