JWAM demands opening of mother dairies

Jammu, Oct 19: Jammu West Assembly Movement along with hundreds of workers, prominent citizens, traders led the strong protest today against the increase of the milk, curd, cheese prices with one stroke when the rising prices have all ready broken the back bone of the common man and for the implementation of the food security bill in the state.
The protest demonstration led to roads blocked, traffic disruption and rallies against the state Govt on the Janipur High court road and passed through various parts of the Sarwal, Rehari, New Plot, Amphalla and the localities of the West assembly constituency.
Addressing the protestors Sunil Dimple, president came down heavily on the chief minister Omar Abdulla and Congress NC state coalition govt saying that backbone of the people have been broken by huge price hike by the Govt of the milk to Rs 32/-, 37/-, curd Rs 42/- and the cheese at Rs 210/- which is beyond the reach of common man.
Sunil Dimple demanded the Govt to "open mother dairies" in the Jammu region like the pattern in other cities. He said inspite of the huge price increase what is the surety that the people will get quality milk, curd, cheese without water.
He demanded the Govt to roll back the prices and if the Govt publishes the rate lists of milk, curd and the cheese , the JWAM may call for Jammu Band and intensify the Jan Andolan.
He said this increase will badly affect the life of the common man, the feed of the children patients, sweats prices and even the budget of kitchen will be badly affected.
The Jammu Municipal Commissioner (JMC) Kiran Wattal assured Sunil Dimple that he will assure that the people may get quality milk and regarding the increase of the prices the price control committee has taken this decision and he will put the demands of the Movement and resentment before the Govt and the committee.
