| Search operations in Chowadi, Sunjwan, Janglote | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 19: Police today launched a search operation in Chowadi and Sunjwan outskirst of Jammu which remained in force in the entire day, sources said.
They also added a search operation was also conducted in Janglote of Kathua district today resulting panic in area.
Sources said that, police, based on the inputs of the presence of the unwanted elements in Chowadi and Sunjwan area launched a search operation in the early hours today which was later called off late in the evening. During search operation entire area was combed. Meanwhile, police sources from Kathua also added that a search operation was conducted in general area of Janglote Morh in Kathua.
Pertinent to mention that following the twin attacks in Hiranagar and Samba on September 26, there have been reports of suspects being seen in border pockets following which police and paramilitary forces time and again have conducted search operations. Though these turned futile but police claims it helps common masses to feel secure.
Meanwhile, Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Atul Kumar Goel when contacted told that the operation was launched as routine checking, however, sources within police maintained that the operation was launched on the input of suspicious movement in these areas. |
