The people of twenty first century are honored with all types of facilities by inventions and discoveries.
All the inventions and discoveries have an important place in their own grounds. In 1876, when Alexander graham bell was invented the telephone, a revolution came in the communication world. It is not saying a wrong that birth of the telephone is proved a real cause of death of the telegraph. In 1973 bell labs was approved a mobile phone, it communicational zed the whole world.
In the present time scarcely a person found, who have not a handset. Mobile phone, was the first time welcomed by India in 1996. From 1996 upto 2013 half of the Indian residents have proudly been 366 millions become the mobile subscribers. According to yahoo, India alone is responsible for 60% of the global population lacking access to basic sanitation. About half of its 1.2 billion residents are the mobile subscribers, but only 366 million people (about one third of its population) have access to toilets noted a 2010 UN report.
But it is fact that india is being flooded by the numerous facilities. Communicationally, all the states of india are progressing well in time. But the state J&K where article 370 is inserted, is yet facing a great problem of communication net working. Those districts which are situated on the indo-pak actual line of control, for example Rajouri and Poonch, are so much suffered due to the poor performance of the communication networking. Reach of networking in Rajouri district is comparatively better than Poonch districts.
Several villages of the hilly district poonch is out of reach from the net works. Such as loran and sawjian village of tehsil Mandi of district Poonch have zero per-cent tower ranging. " the resident of these villages (Loran and Sawjian) have the mobile phones for but only show piece" Abida Nassim Arzoo, "what is the fun of mobile phones, if there is no network availability for the mobile subscribers."
Approximately, 5 or 6 kilometre at a distance from the Poonch district city a salotri village is situated on Indo-Pak line of control(loc) has completely failed to provide the communication network facility to its residents. A teacher of government primary school Saltori, Mohd Shamim says," the residents of salotri village are totally deficilated by the use of their mobile, due to the net work unavailability". In the Rabia Malik's words who is a student of twelfth "In salotri village, "mobile phones have become a playing things for children".
Another resident of salotri village, Shaheena parveen questions to the provider network officials, "the residents of salotri village, have no right of mobile conversation" "Am I saying right or wrong?" The sarpanch of ward no. 1 of salotri village, Suresh kumar says " the salotri village consists of 5000 population and it has 8 wards." Mobile phone communication networking is really a condemnable, misfortune of salotri's dwellers."
Similarly Tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch of state Jammu and Kashmir's several villages are unsigned by the mobile phones communication networking, like Sagra,Ghani, Balnoi, Mankote, Uchhad and Chajjala Balakote Sangoite and proper town mendhar also, where there are mobile phones subscriber are troubling to find the network coverage.
A resident of Sagra (Mendhar) Mrs. Shabnam Akhter says"a wireless mobile sets have no functions unless and untill, they have a towering- range, but that is nothing here." An uchhad resident Mrs. Robina Kossar(24) a housewife remarks, "dis-connectivity of the mobile phones services, have created lots of problems for the residence of this areas." She adds that,"when my mother-in-law wants to call her son to Saudi Arabia, she goes Mendhar on STD' for calling to him, travelling round about 21-23 kilometres of path by motter-way and expending more than 500 hundred rupees also.
A student of B.A Part-II in Government Degree College Mendhar, of Chhajala (Mendhar Poonch) Mukhtar Ahmed Jatt remarks." People of my village have mobile sets, but they have no tower."
According to the Sarpanch of the Mankote village Mr. Khadam Hussain,"I have orally said and written to the officials, who deals the communication and networking department, but they have always ignored to me, and now my villagers patience of balloon has come to near the blast and it would not be a good for the communication dealing department.
It must be remembered that all the above described areas or villages are situated on the Indo-Pak line of control, and inspite of that , these villages are having a great problem of communication net working. A good news for the suffered villages due to network is, the Union of state minister Mrs. Kruparani Killi told to the NDTV reporters," there are 150 mobile phones towers would soon be set up, especially for those areas where there is no approach of mobile phones communication networking." Let see this decision of union ministers of state how much to be proved a sign of relief for the people who are already looking zero tower point on their handheld sets..( The writer is a working journalist and president press council of mendhar poonch ) can be mailed at [email protected]
