Modi makes Omar's political career uncertain

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 8: A massive and landslide four-zero victory for BJP in the four States could affect the political fortunes of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Omar who had fallen short of abusing BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narindra Modi was glued to the TV watching results whole day.
BJP's win in four seats is likely to set the party of course to power in Centre. The party which was seen as B-team of Congress in the Parliament had changes its texture and colour after Modi was appointed as Prime Ministerial candidate of the party.
It can clearly be established by the fact that Congress had failed to win seven seats where Rahul Gandhi addressed rallies in Rajasthan and BJP won 16 out of the 20 seats where Modi had addressed rallies.
It is something which is likely to happen in the J&K especially in Jammu after the massive rally of Modi on Dec 1 which had an attendance of about one lakh people.
The fact that Omar was even contesting the figures of attendance and even had said that he is expecting about 500 people to attend the rally showed his nervousness and this is likely to heighten after the results.
NC knows that it can't ever form a government on its own and with its graph sliding down it was hoping to piggy ride on Congress. But with Congress future also becoming uncertain after these results it has put the NC in quandary as it sees no road for its political survival now.
Omar had gone overboard to crticize Modi to win over Congress especially to further strengthened his relation with the Rahul Gandhi and it's for this reason that he had said his future rests with the Congress led UPA.
Omar Abdullah now realizes that change in Central government is imminent and there is every possibility of Modi becoming the next Prime Minister as his party has put up credible show in four states which send 74 MPs.
A changed government at the centre before the Assembly elections could change political equations and the fact that Kashmir is one region where Central government's nod in making a government is important, this is what Omar is now staring at.
