Jammu, December 8 : A 35 year-old house wife today received 90 percent burns when she was caught in flames under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Pallanwalla falling under the jurisdiction of Khour Police station. The victim has been identified as Sharmeela Devi wife of Govind Singh, resident of village Pangali in Pallanwalla. Police said that after hearing the screams, neighbours immediately reached to the house and brother of the woman shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). Police said that Sharmeela received 90 percent burns and her statements could not be registered yet as her condition was stated to be very critical.Police said that husband of the victim who is Army jawan and presently on leave is detained for questioning. |
