Jammu, Dec 8 : A Bangladeshi National, who had completed his 2 years sentence in Amphalla Jail and was handed over to Arnia police for pushing back to Bangladesh, today managed to escape from the custody of Arnia police this morning. Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Atul Goel initiated an inquiry in this regard. Sources said that Bangladeshi National identified as Saif-ul-Islam son of Shiraj Din resident of Dangyal District had completed his 2 years jail term was handed over to Arnia police on November 12 for pushing back to Bangladesh. Today in the morning, Saif managed to escape from the custody of the police following which an inquiry has been initiated by SSP Jammu. Police said that hunt to nab the absconding Bangladeshi is on but he could be apprehended when last reports came in. |
