Udhampur, Dec 8 : Udhampur unit of Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum held its meeting at Udhampur under the presidentship of Arunesh Kumar, District President of the Forum in which members deliberated over the burning problems faced by the Plus 2 Community and also the current scenario of the school education. At the onset of occasion, Ashok Sharma, General Secretary of forum in his address hailed the Govt. for constituting a committee for the formulation of new education policy for J&K. He demanded that the All J&K +2 Lecturers Forum and other teacher's bodies be also invited to make suggestions with regard to the new education policy. Ashwani Kumar, Vice President thanked the Sports Minister and Commissioner Secretary Youth Services & Sports Department for issuing promotional orders of 10 District Youth Services & Sports Officers and hoped pay anomalies and filling up of the posts filled at the earliest.
Other demands highlighted during the meeting were filling up of the vacant posts of Principals, Lecturers, Masters , Teachers and other non teaching staff for the smooth functioning of the educational institutions, non-vocational status for 10 + 2 Principals, restoration of 40% promotional quota to Higher Education, appointment of Chairman JKBOSE, regularization of I/C Joint Directors, I/C CEO's, I/C Principals , left out I/C Lecturers in the school education department, re-organization of the Directorate of School Education etc..
