Kathua, Dec 8: In a bid to strengthen the party base and for smooth conduct of the party affairs keeping in view the forthcoming parliament and assembly polls, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) organized an impressive rally in Kathua in which party workers from far flung areas of Kathua participated. This was the first ever political event of JKDF in the heart of the Kathua District and JKDF State President Anil Gupta in his maiden address said, "JKDF have taken a pledge to fight the exploiting and anti national forces. "We are determined to take our struggle to logical conclusion. We hope by our collective effort' we shall be able to build a new Jammu with a new vision! , he said. He said that we are today taking a step forward to constitute the District body of the party, which shall provide a platform to people of this District to fight against the menace of social evils." Citing examples of great Heroes and Duggar Warriors of Jammu Anil Gupta Said, " The people of this land are peace loving, but when the need arises they have shown their valor by fighting the anti national and inimical forces. " He also said that these days the biggest enemy of the Jammuites is the growing unemployment, corruption, discrimination, injustice and chaos in the governing system. "JKDF have taken a pledge to take forward their struggle for fighting this menace, he said. Raising the issue of neglect of far flung areas of district, he said, "People of this District especially the far flung villagers are facing many problems due to the bad conditions of roads, means of transport, poor supply of electricity , water and other social issues. He said that our efforts are to highlight all the demands and grievances of masses even related to community welfare and public interest issues to concerned spheres for their redressal. He also said JKDF shall seek the mandate from the people in the forthcoming parliament elections with a vision to build a new Jammu. "We will make sure that our party shall emerge as one of the leading regional party of State. Our aim is to fight for the equal development, justice, and rights of all the three regions of the State, he said. Concluding his speech, he said, " I appeal to all people to fight collectively for the cause of Jammu and to play a bigger role in our fight against regional discrimination. We have to lead the party into right perspective in order to provide an alternative to the people who are time and again exploited and used for their vested interests by NC and Congress." "People have understood the designs of these parties and desperately looking for an alternative, he said amid big applauds. |
