Srinagar , Dec 8 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that present government headed by National Conference (NC) has failed to carry forward the agenda of development in the State. Addressing impressive public meetings at Achabal Adda, Kamad and Kheerbal areas of Anantnag assembly segment in connections with the ongoing campaign for Lok Sabha elections, PDP leaders pointed out that various developmental projects which were started during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed have been stalled by the present dispensation without any reason. They especially mentioned that project of a 300 bedded hospital at Anantnag is yet to be ompleted. Similarly various projects to provide civic amenities to people are also stopped mid-way. "It is unfortunate that the present dispensation neither carries forward the political agenda of the previous government nor follows the development policies which were adopted by the PDP led regime", they said and added that instead of taking some effective steps for ccelerate developments this regime has been indulged in only cosmetic efforts to hoodwink the common masses. Pointing towards prevailing anarchy and chaos in the State, PDP leaders observed that situation in the State was sliding back to the pre-2002 situation due to the wrong policies being adopted by the present dispensation. They said that the coalition regime has exposed before the masses as the ruling National Conference has failed to fulfill all promises which were made with the people during the last assembly elections.
