Udhampur, Jan 18: Supported by hundreds of locals, MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia today protested against the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal for alleged inefficient compensation to the villagers whose houses were damaged due to incessant rains.
Addressing the gathering, Mankotia said that District Development Commissioner Udhampur has proved to be an ineffective and inefficient administrator who is adding to the woes of the common masses. He said hundreds of affected families are forced to live under open sky due to non-disbursement of compensation to rebuild the houses. He said that past over six months the files of relief have been shuttling between various offices without any result while the state government has released adequate funds for the disbursement.
Mankotia said that under the present DDC, Udhampur city has turned into a stinking city with garbage littered all around with other problems. |
