| It happens after tasting defeat in 4 states: Kamaal | | Azad, Soz victims of Day Dreaming | | Javaid Naikoo SRINAGAR, Jan 18: Minutes after Congress leaders ruled out possibility of pre-poll alliance with National Conference, the NC additional general secretary, Dr Mustafa Kamaal said Azad and Soz had been day dreaming. "It happens in a scam hit, divided party and loss in four states," he said. Kamaal attributed the Congress statement to mental backwardness of the Congress leaders. Among its workers who does not understand the importance of NC which has showed its mettle in the state politics since 1947 and more importantly the role which NC as a political party played during 1996 elections when state Congress leaders did not exist in Jammu Kashmir, shall be written in golden letters, he said . Kamaal said Azad and Soz were day dreaming and building castles in air. "They have been saying that the next Chief Minister will be from Congress without knowing whether it would retain the seats won by it in 2008," he said. "Firstly it was Ghulam Nabi Azad who without knowing the ground reality used to claim that Congress would come up with more than 40 seats, now it is Saif-ud-Din’s son who is also victim of day dreaming and counts 23 seats for state Congress in forthcoming Assembly elections. But Soz will calm down as soon as the results are declared," he said. Another NC leader, Ishfaq Jabar of Ganderbal constituency while calling the state Congress a divided house led by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Saif-ud-Din Soz and Abdul Gani vakil separately alleged that most of the office bearers be it is Peerzada Mohammad Syed, G.M Saroori or Taj Mohi-ud-Din from the day first are involved in different scams. It remains to be seen if state Congress retains its previous number of seats in Jammu and Kashmir." He also said that people of the state in general and youth in particular are counting the achievements of their representatives on fingers in their respective constituencies and added that it is no more a secret for anybody in Kashmir to know how in how many scams Congress Minister like Taj Mohi-ud-Din and others are involved and how many among them were made accountable for their wrong doings so far. Pertinently reactions of NC leaders came after Congress workers of Jammu division today said NC leaders were bankrupt and habitual of issuing statements out of their whims, besides announcing that there will be no pre poll alliance with NC for the forthcoming 2014 Assembly elections. |
