Jammu, Jan 18: Jammu and Kashmir Central Non- Gezetted Electrical Employees Union (CNGEU) today staged protest demonstration here in front of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (PDC) office, Satwari. According to press release, association state general secretary Parshotam Sharma said that various PDD/PDC employees and workers from different parts of state had participated the protest. Addressing the protest demonstration Sharma said that the worthy MD J&K PDC had entered in a written agreement with the union representatives that all daily wagers of PDC from whole of state would be regularized by Dec 31, 2013. But he had failed to fulfil his commitment and it was again urged upon to reconsider that matter on Jan 9. He further said that the worthy MD JKPDC constituted a three members committee to overcome all anomalies in matter and finalize the list of all daily wagers of JK PDC from whole state for their regularization within a period of three days and further asked them to submit their compliance report on Jan11, but till date nothing has been done. He further said that the daily wagers of JK PDC had already suffered a lot and now request the worthy MD for finalizing the whole process and release of list of daily wagers for their regularization within a period of one week, otherwise the union will be forced to start state wide agitation in support of their demands especially in same premises at risk and cost of department. Union further demanded that the clarify the status of Rs.6.50 crores which was released by the government for disbursement of wages in favour of 1791 need based employees of PDD , lying with the planning department. Mohd Aslam Choudhary, Surjeet Khajuria, Gurnam Salathia, Arjun Singh, Des Raj and Krishan Kumar were present on the occasion. |
