Jammu, Jan 18: A Science Awareness rally was taken out today which was organised by GCW, Parade in collaboration with Student's welfare Society, Anantnag, Kashmir. More than 800 students from the college displaying placards and banners participated in the rally which was flagged off by Dr. Hemla Aggarwal, Principal of the college. The rally started from the college, passed through the old city area and finally reached back to college. Students from various schools viz., DBN, Amar Villa, Talab Tillo and Light House Public School also joined the rally. The main objective of the rally was to bring awareness among the common masses about the science and its application in daily life. Later on cash prizes were also given to students whose placards were adjudged best. The first prize, second prize and consolation prize were bagged by Garima Sharma, Sheetal Thapa and Kajal Verma, respectively of GCW, Parade. The Third prize and consolation prize went to Priksha and Ananya Gupta of Light House Public School. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hemla Aggarwal lauded the efforts of the students and staff to make this event a great success and advised the students to make general masses aware of the importance of science.
