Kishtwar, Jan 21: District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kishtwar organized two days workshop for the Principals, Head Masters, Sarpanches and VEC members of Kishtwar zone and Nagsina zone Committees in the first phase, who are the members of School Management Development Committee (SMDC) of their respective schools under Rastriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme (RAMSA),
SMDC scheme under RAMSA was introduced by central government to empower the Principals and Head Masters to accomplish the civil works for the improvement of school infrastructure. Speaking on the occasion, Principal DIET Kishtwar said, "To achieve the goal of Kishtwar Vision teaching community of Kishtwar has to play a very crucial role by educating the younger generation of Kishtwar to make them potential citizens to lead the society towards prosperity". He urged upon the Principals, Head Masters, Sarpanches, VEC members and all the village representatives to extend their cooperation in implementing the schemes of RAMSA through strong SMD Committees. The HOD DIET Tariq Hussain Khawaja, Lecturers and the Coordinator of RAMSA at DIET, Kishtwar imparted training to the SMDC members and made the members understood about the SMDCs, their role and responsibility, other facilities like girls incentives under RAMSA schemes in detail. |
