JAMMU, Jan 21: Brahmins United Federation (BUF) condemned the statement issued by SC/ST/OBC Confederation regarding catch up Rules.
The members were unanimous in demanding complete implementation of SRO 110 of 2000 while affecting promotions. The rule provides for an opening for general category promotions which have been usurped by quota promotions.
Federation has all along been advocating abolishing the reservation on caste basis. It maintained that promotions on the basis of reservation degrades the efficiency, in administration which is quite visible and is being experienced in the present set up.
Brahims United Federation appealed to the Chief Minister not to be misguided by vested interests and order strict adherence to the catch up rule in promotions.
