| NC' led regime's policies compounding miseries of common masses: PDP | | Many political activists join PDP | | Et report
Poonch, Jan 21: Lashing out at Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today said that miseries of the people have increased manifold after formation of National Conference led regimes in the State. Addressing a function to welcome large number of people who joined PDP here this afternoon, party candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, MLC said that during the last five year situation in the State has been deteriorating because Omar Abdullah led government was pursuing anti-people policies. "The state has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to wrong policies of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who has failed to connect himself with the common masses," he said. He said that Poonch-Rajouri districts were worst victims of the wrong policies being pursued by this government. He also pointed out that scarcity of ration in the hilly areas reflected complete failure of this dispensation. Alleging that during the last five years this regime has done nothing to solve problems of the people, he said, "What to say to mitigating woes of the masses, this regime has further compounded miseries of the people due to its wrong policies." PDP leader alleged that this regime have been befooling the people by making false promises only. Meantime many political activists showing faith in party leadership joined the PDP in a joining ceremony organized here today in Poonch. Prominent among those who joined PDP included Sub Abdul Hamid, Choudhary Ghulam Din and many others.
