Hiranagar, Jan 21: Angered over what they called, inflated power bills served by Power Development Department (PDD), residents of Rajbagh area today staged protest demonstration against the department.
The protesters alleged that department has been serving them inflated power bills with each passing month, affecting their daily life.
Some people have requested the department, to check the electric load in their houses but nothing has been done by the department so far, they said, adding that the department officials were now saying that firstly clear all pending liabilities, following which the electronic meters would be installed. The protesters further said that the field staff of PDD, didn't give them proper guidance and instead of mitigating the problems, compounded the same. |
