JAMMU, Nov.2. The 3-day 10th State and Interstate dental Conference organised by the Jammu chapter of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) concluded here today. According to Dr.Gautam Sharma, general secretary IDA, about 700 specialists and dental surgeons participated in the conference that provided great exposure to the new comers in the profession. Practical sessions were also held during the conference that proved useful to the dental fraternity. The IDA also conducted pre- conference courses, lectures, hands-on and workshop at Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora and Indira Gandhi Govt.DentalCollege (IGGDC), Jammu. Dr.Gautam Sharma informed that today the scientific programmes were conducted by Dr. Harpreet Singh, Dr.Amulya Chadha, Dr. Abhijeet Lele, Dr. Amnish Singh, Dr. Rachna Dhani and Dr. Rajiv Verma. The lecture of Dr.Rajiv Verma on the subject ' Life after BDS, Life after MDS, What after 10 years and 25 years of Dentistry' evoked tremendous response as the hall was jam packed and overflowing with participants. Dr. Rohit Punga, Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and a well known speaker from Delhi said this was his first visit to Jammu and he congratulated the organizing team of 10th State and Interstate dental Conference for organizing such a successful and mega event. Dr. Gautam Sharma thanked Dr. Romesh Singh, Patron, Dr.Rakesh Gupta, Dr.Ritesh, Dr. Ajay, Dr. Arvind mengi, Dr. Rajiv Mengi for their great efforts in making the conference fruitful. He also said that it would not be possible to successfully conduct this event without the support of Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Administrator of Gen. Zorawar Sing Auditorium, University of Jammu. He also thanked Dr.R.K.Suri, Chairman IDS, Sehora, Dr. Y.K.Singla, Principal, Dr. Gautam mengi and Dr. Rajiv Mengi. A cultural programme by students of IGGDC and IDS Sehora was presented in the evening today. |
