Delhi based journo, Soz's loyalist deciding mandates of committed Cong leaders | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 2: A Delhi based journalist and a loyalist of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz are taking decision on the fate of Congress leaders who have been associated with the party since decades. The duo has been at the helm of the affairs to decide mandates for those Congress leaders who have been working with the party for the last more than 40 years. Credible sources in the Congress said that the Delhi based journalist is close to a senior Central Congress leader who has say in deciding mandates for party candidates in Jammu and Kashmir. Exploiting his close relations the Congress leader this journo, for the last three months, has been frequently visiting the State to hold interaction with those who are claimants of the mandates. This journalist is living in Delhi but he is projecting himself as expert of J&K politics. Instead of projecting winnable candidates for mandates, names of some undeserving candidates were also projected. Credible sources said that it was all due to wrong feeding by this journo-politician duo that earlier party has rejected a large number of genuine candidates. When Ghulam Nabi Azad knew about the wrong doings of this duo, he immediately swung into action and started damage control exercise. Credible sources said that Ghulam Nabi Azad has raised objection over names of some of the candidates. Some other Congress leaders have also raised objecting over giving such importance to a journalist and loyalist of Soz for deciding fate of senior leaders. |
