Srinagar, Nov 3 : Notwithstanding the code of conduct, the Health Department has ordered transfers and postings in the department by issuing pre-dated transfer orders, Official Sources revealed. Reliable sources in the department told Early times that around 15 transfers of dental surgeons were made in the Health Department Signed by Chief Medical Officer Srinagar in the back date as on 24 October 2014 while the transfers were handed over on 28 Oct even after the MCC was announced on October 25. "The transfer order copy along with relieving order was received on October 28, which is clear violation of MCC. A pre-date was put on the order on 24 October while it was received on October 28," sources said.They will have to join their new places of posting after MCC came into force from 25 October. One of the doctor name with held told Early Times that I received the transfer order after MCC implementation, "this is totally the violation of Code of Conduct, and the CMO Srinagar has issued the transfer order for some political interests." Said Dr Farooq Dental Surgeon, (name changed) The order copy in possession with Early Times reads that the transfer orders are duly signed by Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, Dildar Mir, who, however, denied signing any order copy. When contacted Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah, who is also Chief Election Officer, Srinagar, said any MCC violation will not be tolerated. "You have brought it to my notice, I will definitely look into the matter and raise the issue with Chief Electoral officer against the complaints of violation of MCC," Shah told Early Times. |
