Police harassing BJP workers: Aditi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 2: Seeing overwhelmed response of public towards Bhartiya Janta Party, some police officers close to political leaders are harassing party workers in lieu of Model Code of Conduct as notification for Gandhinagar constituency is going to announce, allege Aditi Sharma. Despite harassament, Aditi Sharma tour different parts of Gandhi Nagar constituency and carried mass contact programme. Promenent persons also joined BJP at Bhor Camp in presence of Aditi Sharma and other party workers. Forwarding the BJP membership drive in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Aditi Sharma on Sunday toured Bhor Camp, Bhatindi, Sunjwan and Satwari to garner the BJP membership drive. At Bhor Camp, Aditi Sharma asked BJP workers to start membership drive vigourously so that more people can join BJP. Aditi Sharma opened party office at Bhor Camp where Parshotam Lal Retd AEE PDD deptt, Narsingh, Sandya Devi and Bhagat Ram joined BJP in presenence of Pitamberjeet Gen Secretary Satwari Mandal, Kirapl Singh Chairman Ward No 2 Bhor Camp and other prominent party workers. Welcoming the new entraints in party fold, Aditi Sharma said party will achive mission 44 Plus as political leaders from other parties are joining and strengthening the state BJP. She said workers should start mass contact programme and make people aware about the policies of BJP led govt at Centre under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narinder Modi and party national president Amit Shah. At Satwari, DSP Harjeet Singh forcibly remove party flags from the vehicle of Aditi Sharma and harassed workers. She alleged that Election Commission of India has announced five phase elections for Jammu and Kashmir. For Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Notification is yet to be announced and then after workers should not use party flags without consent of candidate. But seeing upgrowing popularity of BJP, local police is harassing workers in garb of MCC. |
