Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 2: "It is quite evident now that majority of Kashmiri Pandits have accepted Mufti Mohd Sayeed, Patron, J&K PDP as their leader because when whole country was voting in favour of Modi led BJP in Parliament Election held in recent past the KPs voted in good number in favour of PDP candidates and did their bit to root out the corrupt and inapt NC MPs from the political scene of J&K". Said Kirti Hanjura, Social Activist, Educationist and Member, J&K PDP. While addressing the meeting held at Bhagwati Nagar in which large number of Kashmiri Pandit Members drawn from different parts of Jammu were present she said that time has again come when all of us should participate in the coming Elections in big numbers by way of filling up the required M-Forms which concerned authorities in time. "By voting enmass in favour of PDP candidates and enabling the PDP to form the Government in the J&K State will automatically silent those leaders from the community and outside who always try to divide the people on communal lines" she added.
Hanjura was of the opinion that people of the State in general and KPs in particular do connect themselves with the programmes and policies of the J&K PDP with respect to the development of the State and overall welfare of all Sections of the Society. She added that the dignified return of KPs back to the valley could be materialized only under the towering leadership of Mufti Mohd. Sayed and day to day problems of the community could also be addressed when J&K PDP forms the Government in the State.
Majority of the participants in the meeting belonged to Batmaloo, Habba Kadal and Khanyar constituencies of the Srinagar cities. Later the voters from the Habba Kadal along with Hanjura recommended Mudassar Jan as candidate for Habba Kadal constituency to the High Command. Those who were present in the meeting and addressed the large number of gathering were Rajesh Koul, Deepak Goja, Vijay Trakroo and Manoj Koul.
