JAMMU, Dec 23: State volleyball (boys and girls) teams today left for participation in the 37th Sub-junior National Championship to be held at New Delhi from December 26 to December 31 under the banner of Volleyball Association of J&K.
Before their final selection, the teams underwent a 21-day coaching camp held at MA Stadium, here.
The teams are accompanied by Mohd Bashir, Balbinder Singh, Subash Kumar Shastri and Neelam as officials. Placed in group-D, the girls' team shall be playing against West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and SAI XI. Similarly, in boys' team has been pitted against Uttar Pradesh, Kerela, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Telangana.

Boys: Sahil Sharma, Shahid Hussain, Rahul Kumar, Atul Sharma, Lakesh Kumar, Himanshu Verma, Akash Choudhary, Sumit Sharma, Gourav Kumar, Varun Sharma, Nazam-ul-Din and Ashish Kumar.
Girls: Mitali Dhar, Niteshi Saini, Rubia Akhtar, Meena Devi, Janvi Dabgotra, Ishima Verma, Manpreet Kour, Amandeep Kour, Disha Pathania, Taniya Chib, Sonali Choudhary and Barsha Manhas. |
